Casa Luna Palmilla — Booking Experience & UX/UI

Casa Luna Palmilla is a luxury vacation rental in Los Cabos, Mexico. I redesigned and developed its website to create a more intuitive guest experience, showcase the property, and simplify the journey from discovering the villa to booking a stay.

The project included UX research, information architecture, responsive interface design, and development in Wix, with Lodgify integration providing real-time availability and direct-booking functionality.

Role

Lead UX/UI Designer & Web Developer

Focus

Platform

Responsive Web, Wix, Lodgify

The Business Problem

Casa Luna needed a digital experience that better reflected the quality of its luxury property while making it easier for potential guests to explore the villa, check availability, and book directly. The existing website presented the property but offered opportunities to improve navigation, content organization, and the connection between property discovery and the booking process.

My Role

I led the website redesign from UX planning through launch, including an audit of the existing experience, information architecture, wireframes, responsive UI design, and development in Wix. I also integrated Lodgify to support real-time availability and direct bookings, working with the client to align the experience with the property's brand and business goals.

The Original Experience

The original website provided a starting point for showcasing Casa Luna, but its layout and booking journey presented opportunities to improve clarity, navigation, and the overall guest experience. Reviewing the existing pages helped identify where the redesign could better connect property exploration with direct booking.

Strategy & Research

I reviewed Casa Luna's existing website and the guest booking journey to identify opportunities to improve property discovery, navigation, and direct booking. The review focused on how prospective guests explored the villa, found essential property information, and moved toward checking availability.

These findings informed a revised information architecture that prioritized property details, photography, amenities, and clearer access to booking functionality.

Organize property details, photography, and amenities so guests can quickly understand what Casa Luna offers.

Create a Clearer Guest Journey

Design Process

Wireframes were created to define the layout and user flow, followed by high-fidelity designs that emphasize a clean, modern aesthetic. The design prioritizes immersive imagery, a warm sunset-inspired palette, clear typography hierarchy, prominent booking CTAs, and mobile-first responsiveness.
