A brand-new website design for Money Sprouts, a youth-focused financial education platform. The goal was to create a trustworthy, engaging, and easy-to-navigate site that empowers teens and families to learn smart money habits.
Money Sprouts
Live Site
I designed and developed a high-fidelity prototype in Figma and Squarespace to bring the website to life. This helped showcase layout, interactions, and responsiveness across desktop and mobile.
Audience
Teens, parents, and educators looking for approachable financial literacy resources.
Goal
Build a site from the ground up that feels educational, friendly, and credible—while making financial concepts feel accessible to young users.
Role
Visual Designer & Web Developer. I led the end-to-end creation of the site—design, interaction, and development in Squarespace.
Process
I followed a streamlined process: Discovery → Moodboards → Wireframes → Visual Design → Squarespace.
Challenges
Designing for a wide age range meant balancing simplicity with professionalism. I also had to ensure content was digestible without being overly childish.
Lifestyle Imagery
Imagery was selected to reflect real-world relatability—featuring diverse youth and families. This helped reinforce the organization’s mission of inclusive financial empowerment.
Logo Design
The logo was designed to feel fresh, scalable, and approachable—suitable for both young audiences and community partners. It works across web, print, and social platforms.
Mobile Experience
With most users expected to access the site via mobile, I focused heavily on a responsive layout and clear navigation, ensuring an intuitive experience on smaller screens.
Information Architecture
A clean sitemap and IA framework was developed to make content easy to explore for both students and parents, with simple paths to lessons, resources, and tools.
